Finally Spring Wreath Checked off the list

This J-O-B is really impeding my crafting time!! I wanted to try my hand at that poly-mesh I have seen everywhere. Love the fuschia and it really sets off the pretty pink tulips. Brightens up the door.

Easter Cupcakes done and checked off the list

I love making these Easter Basket Cupcakes each year. So simple yet so inviting. I tint coconut green for the grass, and add 3 malt ball eggs or 3 jelly beans and add a pipe cleaner handle. So cute and yummo.

Easter Eggs finally finished

We will have our 4 grandchildren and 2 nephews at Easter this year. Personalized using vinyl letters cut from Chip Decor and filled with candies, bubbles and cookies. I was afraid they would pop open so I wrapped them in tulle. It gives a sheer finish and will hold it all together. Fun fun fun. Now off to make the tags that say Happy Easter - Love, Nana &. Papa. Enjoy the festivities.

Baby Tulips Ready to peek out

You'd never know it by the weather but Spring is here and the tulips are starting to sprout! YAY!!!! It's a sketch challenge over at PeachyKeen Stamps and I am rushing to get my entry in on time!! The tulip is cut from Forever Young and the star is cut from Sophisticated. I added some washi tape, green raffia and some flower blingage to finish it off. The cute baby face is from Peachy Keen Just Baby Faces Assortment at the largest size of 1 3/8".

I'm crafty and you know it!

Wow! Is Easter sneaking up on me. New job is not allowing much crafting time with weekend seminars and varied hours I am still trying to balance. BUT I have some of my favorite Blogs and if they have a challenge...I will try to join in the fun!

Over at MyCreativeTime it is the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge and I have chosen to go on the diagonal and use A Die Cut, Ribbon and Faux Stitching.

I used Stitched Chunky Jar Dies, Chunky Jar Accessories and Hello Spring. I cut the eggs out of Shrink Material  and stamped them. The jar is 3 ply! 2 layers of clear acetate and then 1 layer of patterned paper. I just wasn't getting the effect I wanted using just the clear jar. For the jar lid and handle, I adhered tin foil to a cereal box. Nice shiny real affect.

I am glad I made time for this little craft. I have lots to do before Sunday and I hope to get more crafting completed. In my head I originally saw Easter Grass in the jar with the eggs. Next time!

Hot Stuff

My father-in-law has a great sense of humor, so for his 86th birthday I made him this birthday card. Using the newest Circle Cartridge Animal Antics. Was giving it a test drive to see if I was going to keep it. I have seen so many cute projects that I was enticed to pop it open! This is a simple multilayered card and I made him a sign! He loved it.

It's a Fiesta

The taco truck is coming and the decorations and cupcakes are ready. I am the guest designer over at BugBytes today. I hope you enjoy all the goodies.

To make it easier for the guests, I made little utensil packets. I used the Little Decorative Tri-Fold card from MyCreativeTime, stapled 2 together to make a pocket and just didn't fold it! The paper was double sided so that made coordinating easier. I did fold back the little flap so you could see what is inside. Inside is a napkin and the utensils. The little flower is cut from MyCreativeTime Round and Scallopped Stiched Circles.

I put these in cute teapot baskets. The colorful paper goods were from Dollar Tree.

For the tables I made paper flowers on sticks and stuck them in these cute little clay flowerpots. The paper bow is from Artiste and held together with a brad.

For dessert I made these Pinterest inspired cupcakes in plastic cups. These were a hit and perfect for bake sales, birthday parties and picnics. All kept fresh in plastic cups with plastic and ribbon. Most everyone was stuffed after the taco truck so it was great to just send them home.

Giving Thanks

When a sweet patient brings you sweets...you need to give thanks!! I don't know exactly why this color combo struck me but it did. The Doily, the Butterflies and the label for the sentiment are all from MyCreativeTime. Added sheer ribbon and little gems for some pop. With an unusual name like Baiba, I thought she would appreciate a personalized card.

May Gold Coins be at the end of all your Rainbows

Loving these rainbow colored Twizzlers. I cut the little Leprachan  from Cricut Cartridge Paperdolls for the treat toppers. The sweet little face is from Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids at 3/8". Added some chocolate coins in the bottom and typed up a little sentiment. May you always find gold coins at the end of all your Rainbows. 20 of these for our grandsons' class.

One More Mile and the cake is history

It's that time again my friends. I am the Featured Designer over at Action Wobbles. I've got a fun one for you today. My birthday is tomorrow and I have Pixar on the brain lately as that is going to be our new grandsons' nursery theme. So as I was looking at the cuts...I see Mike in several poses on the Best of Pixar cartridge and one is running! I remembered that Sports Mania has runners as well so I put my thinking cap on to coordinate them somehow on a humorous card. The clouds are cut with MYCREATIVETIME Die out of that foamy packing material. It is perfect for light airy fluffy clouds. If you haven't gotten your own Action Wobbles yet...what are you waiting for??? You can order your own HERE. I hope this gave you a giggle this morning!

Another fun St Paddys' Day Treat

For this project I used Cricut Cartridge Princess Party with inspiration from halloween when I made witches shoes with a similar flavor. I cut the 3D shoe at fit to page in brown to make a Leprachan shoe! I just covered the open toe with a rectangle. Stacked some mint filled Oreos to look like a green striped sock and wrapped them in a sandwich bag. Added a simple square buckle and TADA...done. Try it...you'll like it.

May the luck of the Irish be with you

When designing holiday cards don't forget that the Cricut Cartridge A Childs Year has many holidays including St Patricks' Day. The inspiration for this card is from Peachy Keen Color Challenge. The sentiment is from Peachy Keen April 2012 set. The shamrocks and the little boy silouette is from A Childs' Year. I ran the white through the Cuttlebug using Wicker Basket for the embossing. The card is accented with green Stickles and some sheer shamrock ribbon I had in my stash. This is for our grandson. We are 2 Peas in a Pod and he does put the Tick in my Tock. I hope you like it.

Pinterest inspired Centerpiece

Over at MyCreativeTime we are ready for Spring to arrive. Me...I of course love that it is the season of my birthday and when Tulips bloom. I saw a similar centerpiece on Pinterest and just had to get some jelly beans and Peeps and I had everything else to get it done! I used MyCreativeTime Hello Spring for the eggs and the sentiment Happy Spring, Just 4U. I attached the layered eggs on paper straws with sticky foam dots and tied some coordinated narrow ribbon. I think this is just the perfect little treat to bring if someone needs cheering up or for a happy little centerpiece for your Easter table.

Get Ready for St Patricks Day

Good morning my friends. Today I am excited to be the guest designer at Decorate to Celebrate. I love making Home Decor, Party Favors and Treats. St Patricks Day is special to me since it's my dads' birthday, 2 days after mine and we always made a big deal about it. My dad would wear green everything, tie, shirt, socks, pants...we would eat and drink green everything...it was always a fun day. I have lots of ideas for you that I created for this occasion.

Wreath #1
As I was looking at these nested heart baskets, I thought if I sprayed them green and attached 3 together, they would make a great base for a Shamrock! Yep! Hearts!! I added to this wonderful sparkly green shamrock wired garland and made 3 large loops and shaped them to look like hearts. This added bling, sparkle and dimension. I then tied some tulle in a lighter shade of green for the "Stem". The paper shamrocks are cut from Celebrate with Flourish in 4 shades of green. Once I layered them I ran them through the Cuttlebug using a paisley embossing folder. St Patricks Day is rainbows, shamrocks and gold so I added a bow of rainbow colored ribbons to break up the green and coordinate with my other decorations.

Large Door Wreath

Wreath #2
For my daughters wreath, I used a different idea. I made the pot of gold the focus in the middle of the shamrock and had the wider rainbow ribbon as an accent. Our grandson had a reading goal where he earned a pot of gold and it was a big deal.

Medium Door Wreath
Wreath #3
For my Moms Wreath (the sneak peek) I used the smaller of the 3 nested sizes. She wanted hers kind of plain. Not all the blingage and additions. So I just used this fabulous sheer ribbon with shamrocks on it 'cause I just had to! 2 colors of tulle and the shamrock garland. These go together really fast.

Small Door Wreath

The Leprechaun...
He was cut at Fit to Page from Paper Doll Dress Up which is 11 1/2". I grabbed scraps of green papers in solids and prints and added gold glitter to his pot of gold that is hanging from more of this narrow satin ribbon in rainbow colors. His mustache is from Billionaire and is cut at 1/2".

Leprechaun and Pot of Gold

The Treats...
I ordered these Twizzlers in awesome rainbow colors. I had been looking for them for a couple years and finally found some online through Soap.com. I cut them in half and put some chocolate coins in the bottom. I wanted them under a cloud with a Leprechaun. The same one as the large one but this is cut at 3 inches. I wanted to get more from each page since I had to make 20 of them. I am going to send them for our grandsons' class.

Treat bags

Lastly, I made a quick and cute plant stake. I cut the Leprechaun from Simply Charmed at 8" so I could use the 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper that was the perfect color. It goes together super easily. I just chalked all the pieces and used the heavy duty foam tape to attach it to the stick. It will look cute on my porch greeting visitors before they turn to the door and see the rest of the display! I may cover him in Mod Podge so he is weather proof since we have been having unusual rain lately even reaching the porch!

I hope you like my projects. Please create a St Patricks Day Project and enter the challenge. You have until March 19th to enter. Thank you Amy for asking me to be a guest designer today. It was fun!!
