Embossing Vellum

For this weeks challenge we had to try something we saw the design team create. I am also in the No Spending Ban so I had to use stuff from my stash. Lo and behold, I know hubby uses good quality vellum for drawing plans so I asked for some and he gave me a roll! Whoo hoo score.

I cut the flowers and embossed them with the Cuttlebug. I also embossed the top sheet of vellum to make the whole effect very lacy and light. I can see this is something I will us again. I love the look and was excited to eek out this challenge before time ended. My next challenge was getting it to photograph so you could see the embossing. Enjoy

I spy with my little eye...MY BANNER!!!

Look behind the speaker. Bottom row 2nd from the left. They all look so great. I just visualized them hanging throughout the room, not stuck on a wall. Oh well to each his/her own vision.

"Pink"ing of you!

She volunteered to make 1000 or so cards for a Womens' Conference on Breast Cancer. I am donating 10. All the elements are from my stash of supplies. I stamped ATC's and wrapped verigated pink cording around them, embossed the 1st layer with various Cuttlebug embossing folders, wrapped patterned grosgrain ribbon and added little pink satin daisies that I added little pearls to the center. I lot of elements x10 and still did not make a dent in my supplies! I am happy to help in a small way.

First of 200 Felt Football Pins

Cricut makes it so much easier. Footballs cut from Sports Mania, Numbers cut from Varsity Letter. Puffy Paint on the ribbon tails personalized for each player. Only have to use pinking shears on the edge of one layer. So much easier than cutting everything by hand.

Garbage --- a Family favorite for Picnics and BBQs

My mother in law has made Garbage for years. I guess it got its' name at first because it could be made in a clean wastebasket. I immediately thought of Oscar the Grouch. Got my Sesame St cartridges out. The Gingham flowers are a Cuttlebug die cut. I hope you enjoy this project and try the recipe.

Land of the Free Home of the Brave

Again with the sideways picture. As I try to correct this, The little boy is cut from A Childs' First Year, The Lady Bug from Walk in My Garden, The banner from Freshly Picked and the USA from Stand and Salute. I sewed a casing on my paper and slipped a wooden dowel inside. The little flag pin is made of safety pins and seed beads. I hung patriotic wired stars and flags through a hole punched at the bottom of the sign. The striped grosgrain ribbon is Offray and the paper is Bazzil. I will work on the photo display but you get the idea!
