PK Background Challenge

Peachy Keen Stamps has their October Release and for Challenge#2 we need to make a background using their spectacular background stamosor create our own background paper using their single stamps. Well...since I don't have their background stamps yet, I had to create my own.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I knew I wanted to incorporate that. So in looking at my collection of PK stamps I decided on Time. I used the clock and faces from PKSC-04-April 2012. It has great phrases like Take Time, Life is too Short, Make Every Minute Count. I colored my paper using Spectrum Noir Markers and stamped them with Stampin' Up ink except for the clockface that had to be permanent so it wouldn't smear when I colored it. The eyes are enhanced with a white Gelly Roll Pen and the Pink Ribbon is cut from Cricut.Com Pink Journey Cartridge. The Pink and Brown Twine is Trendy Twine.

Just for you, Teacher Thank you for month 1

It's time for a MyCreativeTime Challenge with guest host Tracy. The challenge to use those fun Googly Eyes. For my entry I wanted to use glasses from MyCreativeTime What's Growing On Die Cut Set and one of the Bears at 4" from Cricut.com Teddy Bear Parade. The sentiment is from MyCreativeTime More Gift Card Sentiments. The lidded googly eyes are from Darice and were found in the camp craft section.

Join in the fun. Another PK Sketch Challenge and there is still time for you to play. I am fresh off the plane from a creative time spent with friends across the nation. Arriving home needing to do stuff was fighting with wanting to do stuff. I HAD TO TRY TO MAKE SOMETHING FOR THE Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge. I have lots of Thank You notes to make for this event I attended in Atlanta.

I chose the cute little Fairy off  PKSC-06 June 2012. A set I borrowed from my sweet friend Cassandra since I only have faces. Although if asked I would say my favorite color is pink...these muted colors of sage, coral and ivory are my favorite to design with and I tend to do it alot.

I ran the top layer of the card through my new Cuttlebug folder that I won at Circle Mania. The Fairy is colored with Spectrum Noir markers. The ribbon and buttons are from my stash and the sentiment is stamped with Peachy Keen PKSC-04 April 2012.

No Boo here ~ Pretty much stamping everything!

Today I am showing you how you can stamp anything that stands still for a moment! I found this little box of 100 plastic plain white ghost table scatters at the dollar spot at the Big T (you know the one with the bullseye). I have a lot of confidence in Staz-on ink.  Stamped a face on these little plastic ghosts. I used Peachy Keen Just Baby Faces in 3/8". I used one for the Peachy Keen Challenge to decorate a candle BUT I can see these on little hairbows, cards, tags, little pins. I am so excited.

Yay!!! Our grandson doesn't cry at Kindergarten anymore. He still says he doesn't like school because it is boring (and in his case it likely is) but he loves Mrs. S and all she has to say.

I used Peachy Keen Cherub Faces and MyCreativeTime Layered Flower Petals Die.  The aqua ribbon is from my stash as well as the little rhinestone accents.

We've Got Your Back

Our sister-in-law is having back surgery tomorrow and I wanted to make her a card. She loves Disney, particularly Mickey and Pooh. Has quite a collection. I wanted to show our support to her during this scary 6-hour surgery and always. I dusted off Cricut Cartridges Mickey and Friends, Pooh and Friends and Mickey font. I ran the letter through the cuttlebug using Swiss Dots Folder and inked them in red. The ovals are cut using my favorite Creative Memories Cutting System. Mickey is on an Action Wobble. It was so hard to photograph the wobble in action. I think it took 10 tries! Thoughts and prayers to you Robin. I will be in the waiting room. All our love...

Thank You PK Color Challenge

Hello my friends. Today I am featuring these beautiful colors for the Peachy Keen color inspiration Challenge. I found a tulip on Cricut.com Create a Critter 2 and had to try it out. I gave the tulip dimension by accenting it with Spectrum Noir (almost typed Pinot Noir!!) alchohol inks. The face is from Peachy Keen April release. I added pen stitching and Ranger Glossy Accents to the face. The trims are from my stash and the striped grosgrain ribbon had all the colors in it so I knew I was going to incorporate that somehow.

Repurpose Reuse Recycle

Be it on fabric, paper, wallpaper etc. I love colors and patterns. This pattern is some I saved from last years Planner inserts. It is a nice weight and great colors. I thought I was going to use it for the little window that was already on it. But nope...it transformed into something else.

I gathered a plain little notepad and an RSVP pen and MyCreativeTime Layered Petal Flowers Die.

A few minutes later I have a little gift ready to go. This would be perfect for a Secret Pal, the girls at work (if I had a J-O-B), a happy Friday for a teacher...lots of things. Everyone can use a pen and notepad.

Cost me nothing and took less than 5 minutes.

Boo You're Cute

I just love this card. So many elements. The papers are from my stash and multi-layered. The scallop edge on the black piece is punched. The word CUTE is cut from Bump In The Night. I tested a pumpkin, a black cat, a witch and a ghost before deciding on something totally different...a cute star with a Peachy Keen face. The black paper is blackboard paper so I will use chalk to write my little note on this one.
