Thank you StKittScrapper ~Cindy for my Swap Box

Filled with oodles of craft supplies. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put in making my box.
Within the Cricut Circle, we had a swap where we purchase a 7 inch by 3 inch square chipboard box. We were given a  secret partner. We had to do a bit of detective work to seek out our partners likes and dislikes, colors, interests and favorite supplies. We embellished the box and stuffed it with fun craft supplies.

TODAY IS REVEAL DAY!
Without further ado, here is the box that my partner Cindy StKittScrapper from New Jersey created for me:

Congratulations to my hubby and his team

Commendation from the Mayor of Redondo Beach. His team represented Wescon Pop Warner Mitey Mite in the Innaugural SuperBowl in Florida this past December 2011 and received awards last night at City Hall. The boys have gotten so big since we saw them. They look ready for the next level that's for sure.

FROM COACH VARGAS:
I have been coaching Youth and High School football continuously since 1976. The program is to help these boys learn basic skills and safety. The program is kept simple so the players can practice and develop their skills in a methodical fashion. We teach respect for each other and respect for others. The long term goal is to use football as a life tool to develop a work ethic. We teach that their limitations begin and end with themselves.
For some of these boys, 2011 was their first experience with tackle football, for most it was their second year together. This team has great character and works like no other team I have ever worked with; they understand the fruit of hard work. Only two years into it and they are all on the way of individual success. We were blessed with the best group of parents as well as very dedicated coaches. The Pop Warner Super Bowl was their greatest team, and personal challenge, where each player learned their greatest lesson about hard work, not giving up, and a self awareness of what each individual was made of.
I consider it the ultimate privilege to be able to work the 2011 Redondo Beach Mitey Mites.
As they get older, at some point each will understand what I mean when I tell them “If you think what we are doing here has anything to do with football, you are sorely wrong.”

You Are the Best

I received some fun tulip ribbon as a thank you for one of the winners of the BLOG Candy I gave away. I never saw it before and am so excited about it.

I made this card to send as a thank you for the thank you!!

I cut and colored the Teapot using MyCreativeTime Tea Party Stamp Set. The Sentiment is stamped using MyCreativeTime My Favorite Stamp Set.

The papers are from my stash and although the stack is falling apart, I do believe it is DCWV Fun in the Sun Summer Glitter Matstack.

I colored the teapot using my Spectrum Noir Alchohol Inks.

Butterfly Kisses - Repurposed Soup Can

This week our Peachy Keen Challenge is to repurpose a Soup can.
I knew right away what I wanted to make.

I cleaned out can and let it dry over night. I covered the can with bright butterfly paper Dotty for You from Close to My Heart. I tied a fluffy bow using wired rainbow colored sheer ribbon.

Now I knew that this would be top heavy as the candies were removed and I did not want it to tip over so I made a Rosette in a coordinating chevron stripe and adhered the can to the Rosette. It made a sturdy base and won't tip.

Now it is time to start assembling the butterflies. I wanted them to look like stained glass windows. Using Wall Decor and More I cut 4 inch butterflies . You have to peachify the adorable butterflies, so I cut 3/4" circles to add heads to the butterflies and stamped them with PK-650 Just Baby Faces Assortment. I accented them with black and white gel pens and pink chalk. I also mixed turquoise and purple glitter for the butterfly bodies.

Ok...are you ready. Filled with Hershey Kisses and ready to give to my mom next week. Here is my entry. It is gonna be hard to part with. I may have to make another one!

Ending National Scrapbook Day!

I found a little time to craft! I have something exciting drying and will likely be able to finish assembling it and post it tomorrow.

In the meantime we are invited to a 15th Birthday Party tonight. Here is the invitation and I made our birthday card to match. We got her a beautiful butterfly necklace and I made a little gift bag to match too. All packaged up with coordinating ribbon and ready to go.

I think that the birthday girl will be happy.

Cricut Circle Card Challenge

Had to use the Color Yellow, a bird or a bug, 3 patterned papers and 3 Cricut Cuts.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!

My first task this morning even before breakfast was a scavenget hunt! OY! 20 cuts from my choice of Cricut Cartridges. Here is my entry.

Happy Birthday to a special little boy

Using Robotz cartridge from Cricut I cut this guy as big as I could which ended up being 11". He is accented with metallic papers and flat pearls.

The large card is on an easel so it can stand by itself. Although Austin will be in the hospital when he turns 9, I hope this little Robot gets him through and he can countdown to turning the 2 digits. Remember when that was exciting!
