Gift Bag with Embellishments and tag

Several Cartridges used for this design. The bag is large enough to hold some sweets, cocoa packs or a small gift. I put acetate from a cartridge package in the opening. The 3D holly leaves and the tiny red ornaments finish off the bag and the little plaid tag is from Winter Frolic. Enjoy

Magazine Challenge Card Sketch

I needed a break from all the red and white projects I have underway. I need many birthday cards this time of year so I took advantage of using Art Philosphy. It had all the elements I needed. The circle, the heart and a design aka the cupcake. It needed a little pop so I inked the edge of the cupcake and embossed several of the layers. The patterned paper and the 2 colors of twine tied it all together. The cupcake is pop dotted so it is higher than the rest of the design.

Christmas Candy Cake - Wine not included!! Just to show size

This tiered "cake" is a perfect centerpiece in any office. Filled with miniature candy bars, candy canes and lollipops. I am donating this one for a raffle for our football team.

Mini Album

I am sure you are all tired of hearing that our little Pop Warner Mitey Mite Team is going to play in a Superbowl game in Florida at Walt Disney World in a few weeks. Yikes!!! We are fundraising like crazy and as I try to prepare for Thanksgiving...I have red and white coming out of my brain at all times. So, I made a little album to go on a bigger album. Our helmets are white with a big red R on them. I have spots ready the airport, the game, WDW, the Awards Dinner, fun and games with the coach...aka my hubby. The large football is 2 sides and I will stick the keepsakes I pick up along the way. We are getting so excited.

The helmets are cut at 4" using Sports Mania, The football is cut at fit to page about 11 1/2" also from Sports Mania. The R is from Varsity Letter.

Flu Season Survival Kit

I have been delivering so many of these so early in the season it is awful. This little hefty bag holds tissue, cough drops, tea bags, chicken soup, hand sanitizer and fuzzy socks. This one is going to my boss tomorrow. I am recovering but it has been 12 days already. I hope none of you need one anytime soon. Leaves are from Speaking of Fall. I used pretty thick chip board and painted the fall colors with acrylic paint for some texture. The letters are from Varsity Letter and the foundation is from Art Philosophy.

Tomorrow is the big game to decide 1st and 2nd Place

Let the fundraising begin for the Superbowl at WDW ESPN Center. Great job Redondo Beach Mitey Mite Seahawks.

All this was cut with the Cricut. This time of year I use lots of Sports Mania & Varsity Letter. Because we are representing Wescon in the Superbowl at WDW in Florida, I added Mickey Mouse and 50 States.

Home Decor- the 3D Haunted House meets Chic and Scary

Ihave been wanting to make the Haunted House for over a year. When I got Chic and Scary this year, I challenged myself to shrink the litter banner and make the pennants only 1 inch. Perfect to decorate the Haunted House. The house pieces were cut at 7 inches. I want to make another one because it was strange to line the windows with yellow as instructed only to cover them up with a cornice. Anyway, it looks really cute on a little piece of artificial turf.I cut the shadows of trick or treaters from A Childs' Year.

Enjoy.

Weekly Challenge - Treat

I fell in love with the colored oreo cookie socks in a paper witch shoe and knew I had to recreate it. I added the pumpkins I make out of orange jelly candies every year. My large flower ties it all together. Flower on shoe and the large flower cut from Flower Shoppe, the Witch Shoe is from Princess Party and the spider on the shoe is from Chic and Scary.

Monotone Challenge

For this challenge, my last one for the Blogiversary and then I cpompleted them all. I chose my papers and cartridge blindly!! I had procrastinated and couldn't narrow it down. I put 3 tones of pinks, blues, browns and greens in 4 piles and then picked the stack. I also pulled a column of cartridges off the shelf and chose one. I still wanted a fall or Halloween theme. So what do I pick??? Nursery Rhymes and pink papers. Great. AHa...Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater. Perfect! Enjoy

Imagine Layered Project Challenge

I don't have an Imagine but I really wanted to try to enter all the challenges. Special thank you to my friend Lisa, Cricut5 sho kindly dropped off some Imagine printed papers she had done. The colors coordinated beautifully with my dyed seam binding and my favorite polka dot ribbon.

Focus on Cuttlebug Challenge

For this challenge we needed to focus on the Cuttlebug Embossing technique. I cut the actual Cuttlebug from Cricut Everyday and then samples from several embossing folders. When I ran the glitter paper through the Cuttlebug, it gave a very interesting texture for the background of the card. The little Cuttlebug machine is cut from Storefront.

Circle Cartridge Challenge

I cannot find TC Chic and Scary but I did use French Manor for the chandelier, bird and butterflies. The bats were from Happy Hauntings as well as the title SPOOKY.

2011 HSN ProvoCraft Banner contest entry

I used PaperDoll Dress Up for the dolls and the banner itself is made from Witch Hats upside down.

The pumpkins and the drippy vampire font are from Happy Hauntings.

National Card Making Day

I chose a muted color scheme and used the cuts from French Manor to create this Thank You Card.

Blogiversary Recipe Challenge

For this challenge we were given parameters to use 3 buttons, a title, 2 Cricut Cuts. I chose the month of October that is orange, black and PINK. I will add pictures from Walk for the Cure. Interactive Layout Challenge

Our grandson is learning to tie his shoes. I wanted this to be part of my interactive page. I cut the tennis shoe from Pink Journey, the background and letter frames from Elegant Edges and the letters from Lyrical Letters. The eyelets are oversized normally used for tarps, the wide shoe lace easier for little fingers was from a dollar store.

Echo Park Magazine Challenge

Hello. This Challenge was to use Echo Park products. I chose papers from the Splash collection. The headstone is cut from Happy Hauntings, the pencil is a favorite from Locker Talk, the Monster, witch hat and Wicked Wishes is from Mini Monsters and the font is a favorite for getting the 1/2 inch letters nice and clean...Lyrical Letters. I saw the phrase Tomb it may Concern: and fell in love!!!! Hope you get a laugh and a great idea!

My Entry for HSN Cricut Banner Contest

I used Paperdoll Dress Up for the little dolls and the actual banner which is the witch hat cut at real dial size 4". The drippy letters are Vampire Font and the pumpkins from Happy Hauntings. I attached the banner with little button brads and added a line of sequin trim for stability. I cut each witch hat twice so that the back is finished too and you don't see little naked paperdoll booty from the back.

~Enjoy and watch to see if my banner is shown on HSN Monday Sept 26th.

Circle Challenge - include a window

For this challenge, I used Pagoda. We had been watching Shogun and the Asian influence was on my mind. I used vellum for my window pane because it reminded me of soji screens out of rice paper. I love the little doll peeking through the window. The cherry blossom tree, the lanterns and the fan tied everything together. I am going to use it in my album about me. I loved reading Memoirs of a Geisha and AmyTan cannot write enough books.I love her work. I think I appreciate the Asian influence in family, tradition, and a calm peaceful outlook.

Enjoy

Dinosaurs at La Brea Tar Pits 2011 - Nana, Papa and Michael

First Trip to the La Brea Tar Pits. We got to see Pit 23 where they had just that minute unearthed a jawbone from a Saber Tooth Cat. So cool. Michael and I made dinosaur puppets. He glued Qtip bones on some of them. Next, we plan to label them and divide them into meat and veggie eaters.
