LAND OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE BLOG HOP

My baby brother Scott Shier: I served in the US Navy from Jan 1989 until November of 1998. I was a Cryptologic Technician and served aboard the USS Yorktown during the first Gulf War. I later served aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt and worked at the National Security Agency. My fondest memory would be when I got to shake hands with King Hussein of Jordan when he visited our ship. We also got a visit from Oprah Winfrey. She was vacationing in Greece while we were there for a port visit and requested a tour. She welcomed us home on her show. Some interesting trivia...the commanding officer of my first ship (USS Yorktown) is now the Chairman of the Joint Chief's, Adm Mike Mullen.

My Project to share with you today:

Iris Paperfolding

I love this technique.

Very relaxing, gives a great finish. Made several of these Patriotic Cards for friends.

I used a foil gift box for the iris in the middle. I thought it added bling.

Tell me what you think? Become a follower, leave a comment on this card and be entered to win some Patriotic Blog Candy. A box of Red, White and Blue goodies will be mailed out to you. To enter, become a follower and leave a post here. Winner will be picked randomly. Thank you for visiting. Come back soon!!!
