Me and My Teddy Bear

When our daughter was growing up she took tap and ballet lessons starting at age 2 1/2.

Her first little recital was a tap dance to the song Me and My Teddy Bear. They had frilly costumes, big bonnets and got to dance with their favorite teddy bear. The more loved the better!!

When Peachy Keen announced this weeks challenge to use a bear and make a 3D item, this is what came to mind. Super cute to dress up a plain white gift bag!

The bear is cut from Cricut Cartridge Teddy Bear Parade and I chose the Cupid Costume. It is accented with wiggle eyes, chunky glitter and Glossy Accents. The girl is cut from One of my original Cricut Cartridges Paperdoll Dress Up. Her cute little face is stamped with Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment. Her face is accented with a white Jelly Roll Pen, a Green permanent marker, Pink Chalked cheeks and Glossy Accents. To give some dimension to the hair, I used my Spectrum Noir Alchohol Inks. I typed out the song, it is a really cute poem. All the hearts are cut using MyCreativeTime stitched heart dies. Red and White Trendy Twine and scattered little hearts finish it off and I really like it. Do you remember your little ones dance recital songs? Or perhaps your own? Mine was Ballin' the Jack.

    1. Wow! We did the Entertainer at Cheer Camp! As an adult when Melissa was in dance, the moms took tap and we opened the recital to Hooray for Hollywood. That was super fun. I have been a tapper since I was 3.
