Tiny Dancer

You may look at this card and think my color scheme is odd. BUT there is a method to my madness.

I love recitals. I have been a dancer myself, the mom of a dancer, a costumer and an appreciative audience member. To me, the dancers are fresh and sparkly dancing to the best of their ability on a stage that has the same curtains and flooring from the 1920s! Thus, I spent some time and product on the curtains to get that same affect.

The little dancer is on an Action Wobble so she really appears to be shaking her tail feathers! The dancer and the stage were cut using Cricut Cartridge Twinkle Toes. Her costume, hairbows and the curtains are chalked with ColorBox Chalk in yellow and blue with the same blue used on the curtains and as we all know...that turned the edges purple!

The Sentiment is from MyCreativeTime My Favorite Sayings and the dancers face is stamped with Peachy Keens Cherub Face Assortment. The curtain trims are from The Paper Studio Fiber Assortment Red and Brown.

I pop dotted the stage for lots of dimension so when I adhered the trims they are up 1/4 inch.

  1. She is so cute. I just finished a dance mini book for my niece and also used action wobbles, aren't they fun?
