Happy Birthday Mom

Today is my mother-in-laws birthday. Every year I make her a card. Last year I bought her one as a treat! 'Cause you never know when it comes to handmade stuff! Well, I felt bad, she was so disappointed that she did not get a handmade card. Big Oops on my part..

So this year, I wanted to pull out the stops. She is not a pink girlie girl type. She loves vintage in fact the trim on the card really matches her throw pillows!

The word MOM is a 2 layered shadow affect cut from Cricut Cartridge Storybook. It is one of my favorites for smaller fonts.

The flowers are from MyCreativeTime Flower Petal Dies. They are chalked in red and have Silver Stickles for the center. The stamped phrase Birthday Wishes is from MyCreativeTime Tiny Tags.  The tag would have been a bit too small so I used StampinUp punches in Oval and Scallopped Oval.

The papers and ribbon are from my stash. I think she will like this years card.

  2. I hate it when that happens! I did that once...it's awful to see the sad look on their face when they're used to homemade/handcrafted cards. It's beautiful..she will love it :)

  4. Hey Linda,
I agree with you about Storybook. It is a go-to for those smaller fonts. But I gotta tell ya' -- those flowers are AMAZING!! Just gorgeous.
Your MIL is lucky to have you.
